Palmate and pinnate palms

All palm tree can be divided into two groups: palm trees with feather-like leaves and palm trees with palmate leaves.
Palm trees with pinnate fronds (feathered palms) have leaves that resemble a feather, leaflets are arranged on each side of a common axis.
Palms with palmate leaves resemble an open hand, the leaflets radiate from a common point.
And there is a small group of palm trees which has compound leaves, something between pinnate and palmate. They have appearance of a feather but are fan-compound.
